Tips & Variations
Tone down the vodka. If you're looking for a less strong vodka flavored cocktail, you can go ahead and just top your glass off with 7up instead of measuring exactly 4 oz.
Add a garnish. Pop a lemon or lime wedge or wheel on the rim of the glass for a little color. You can also add a squeeze into your glass for some fresh citrus zing.
Stir gently. There is a lot of soda in this cocktail, so mix it gently so that it doesn't get too fizzy.
Don't make in advance. Make this just in time to serve it so that it is full of bubbles and doesn't go flat.
Use flavored vodka. Some good choices are cherry, lime, orange and citron.
