Start out by making sure you have everything needed to make the cocktail.
Stick your martini glass into the freezer to chill it.
Fill your shaker up to the top with ice.
Grab up your brandy and jigger. Use the jigger to measure 1 oz of brandy. Toss it into the shaker.
Grab up your creme de cacao and jigger. Use the jigger to measure 1 oz of creme de cacao. Toss it into the shaker.
Grab up your heavy cream and jigger. Use the jigger to measure 1 oz of heavy cream. Toss it into the shaker.
Remove your martini glass from the freezer.
Grab the shaker top and put it over the shaker.
Shake it up well for about 15 - 20 seconds.
Grab the hawthorne strainer and replace the shaker top with it.
Pour your drink from the shaker into the martini glass.
If you want to add the optional garnish, add a few dashes of nutmeg to the top of the drink.
