Pickle Lemonade

Equipment

  • jigger
  • bar spoon
  • cocktail shaker optional
  • Hawthorne strainer optional
  • highball glass

Ingredients
 
 

  • 4 oz Water
  • 1 oz Simple syrup
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 oz Pickle Juice
  • Ice

Instructions
 

  • Toss ice into the highball glass to fill it up.
  • Take the jigger and measure 1 oz of lemon juice. Then, dump the lemon juice into the glass.
    *see below notes if you don't have a jigger or prefer to measure in cups and tbs.
  • Take the jigger and measure 1 oz of simple syrup. Then, dump the simple syrup into the glass.
  • Take the jigger and measure 1 oz of pickle juice. Then, dump the pickle juice into the glass.
  • Take the jigger and measure 4 oz of water. Then, dump the water into the glass.
    Pro tip: you can also just pour the water straight into the glass to top if off instead of measuring it out.
  • Take the bar spoon and stir everything together.
  • Add a lemon wedge or a pickle slice on the rim of the glass as an optional garnish.

Notes

Variations & Substitutions:
  • Squeeze your own fresh lemon juice.
  • Use sparkling water for a little fizz.
  • Add a little extra simple syrup if you like a sweeter drink.
  • You can build this in the cocktail shaker (or a mason jar or any jar with a lid), if you prefer to shake it to mix it together.
Alternative Measurements:
  • ¼ cup of water
  • 2 tbs simple syrup
  • 2 tbs lemon juice
  • 2 tbs pickle juice
