Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

  • Saucepan
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring Cup
  • Jar or Pyrex

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar

Instructions
 

  • Measure 1 cup of brown sugar and add to the saucepan.
  • Measure 1 cup of water and add to the saucepan.
  • Put the saucepan on the stovetop on medium heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Stir regularly while mixture is heating.
  • Remove from the heat and pour the syrup from the pot into a jar or pyrex.
  • Place the syrup to cool in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours.

Notes

Storage
  • Keep the syrup in the fridge for up to 4 weeks in an airtight container.
  • If you won't use it all by 4 weeks, you can freeze it.
Tips
  • When heating the mixture, stir it consistently so that it heats evenly.
  • Give the syrup 1 - 2 hours to cool before using so that it thickens up.
