- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Brown Sugar
Measure 1 cup of brown sugar and add to the saucepan.
Measure 1 cup of water and add to the saucepan.
Put the saucepan on the stovetop on medium heat to simmer for 10 minutes.
Stir regularly while mixture is heating.
Remove from the heat and pour the syrup from the pot into a jar or pyrex.
Place the syrup to cool in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours.
Storage
- Keep the syrup in the fridge for up to 4 weeks in an airtight container.
- If you won't use it all by 4 weeks, you can freeze it.
Tips
- When heating the mixture, stir it consistently so that it heats evenly.
- Give the syrup 1 - 2 hours to cool before using so that it thickens up.
