Honey Simple Syrup

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Mason Jar or Small Pyrex
  • Measuring Cup

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Honey

Instructions
 

  • Measure out 1 cup of honey and add it to the saucepan.
  • Measure out 1 cup of water and add it to the saucepan.
  • Put the saucepan on the stove at medium heat.
  • Stir well while heating for around 10 minutes.
  • Simmer the mixture, but do not let it fully boil.
  • After 10 minutes, remove from heat and place into a mason jar or small pyrex.
  • Place in the fridge to cool and thicken for around 1 - 2 hours.

Notes

Tips:
  • Don't let the mixture boil while heating or it may burn on the bottom of the pot.
  • Stir frequently to allow it to heat consistently.
Storage
  • Keep in the fridge in an airtight container for 2 - 4 weeks.
  • You can freeze in an ice cube tray if you won't use it all within a month.
