- 1 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Cup Chopped Mango
Chop up 1 cup of mango and add it to the pot.
Pour 1 cup of water in the pot.
Pour 1 cup of sugar in the pot.
Put the pot on medium heat on the stovetop.
Heat the mixture for 10 minutes while simmering.
Stir the mixture regurarly while heating. You can use the masher to squeeze out all the mango juice if desired.
Take the mixture off the heat and strain it through the strainer to remove any pieces of mango.
Put the syrup into the jar or pyrex and place it in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours.
Storage
- You can keep this in the fridge in an airtight container for 2 - 4 weeks.
- If it won't be used before 4 weeks, you should freeze it to keep it longer.
Tips
- Use the masher to press all the mango juice out.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to remove all the mango or pulp pieces from the final syrup.
- Be sure to stir frequently during heating so that it heats evenly.
