Orange Milk

Equipment

  • jigger
  • bar spoon
  • highball glass
  • cocktail shaker optional
  • Hawthorne strainer optional

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 oz Orange Simple Syrup if making your own you will need .5 cups orange juice, 3 strips of orange peel, 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar
  • 4 oz Milk
  • Ice

Instructions
 

Orange Simple Syrup

  • Put .5 cups orange juice, 3 strips of orange peel, 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar into a pot.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes on medium heat while stirring frequently.
  • Remove from the heat and strain into a container. Place in the fridge to chill.

Orange Milk

  • Fill up the highball glass to the top with ice.
  • Use the jigger and measure 2 oz of orange syrup. Toss that into the glass.
    *see notes section below if you want to measure with cups.
  • Use the jigger and measure 4 oz of milk. Toss that into the glass.
  • Use the bar spoon to mix everything together.

Notes

Alternative Measurements
  • ¼ cup of orange simple syrup
  • ½ cup of milk
Variations & Substitutions
  • You can also use a cocktail shaker and shake this to mix instead of stirring.
  • Use dairy free milk if desired.
