- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Raspberry fresh or frozen
Measure 1 cup of raspberries and put them in a saucepan.
Measure 1 cup of water and put it in a saucepan.
Measure 1 cup of sugar and put it in a saucepan.
Heat the mixture on the stovetop at medium heat for around 10 minutes.
Stir frequently while heating and do not let it boil; just simmer.You can also use a masher to press the raspberries more if you desire. Take it off the heat and strain it so that any pieces of raspberry are removed.
Pour syrup into a small pyrex or mason jar.
Place it to chill and thicken in the fridge for 1 - 2 hours.
Tips:
- Make sure to use a super fine mesh strainer so you don't end up with tons of seeds and pieces of raspberry in your syrup.
- Don't let the mixture boil; simmer only or it may scorch.
- Stir regularly while heating.
Storage:
- You can freeze this in an ice cube tray if desired.
- Should stay good for 2 - 4 weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
