Hot Chocolate (Homemade)
- 2½ cups milk
- ¼ cup sugar
- 2 TBS cocoa powder
- 6 oz chocolate chips
Hot Chocolate (Packet)
- 2 packets hot chocolate mix
Rumchata Hot Chocolate
- 4 oz Rumchata split into two 2 oz portions
- whipped cream
- miniature marshmallows
Note: If you are using hot chocolate packets, skip to step 4
Start by heating your milk in a sauce pan on your stovetop.
Once the milk has started to simmer, add in your sugar, cocoa powder, and chocolate chips.
Stir everything together until the chocolate chips have completely melted.
Take out your coffee mugs and pour in your Rumchata according to the split measurements above.
Use a ladle and carefully fill your mug with the still warm hot chocolate
Sprinkle some cinnamon or cocoa powder on top, toss in some miniature marshmallows, and add a dollop of whipped cream
