Shirley Temple Drink

Equipment

  • jigger
  • bar spoon
  • highball glass

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 oz Grenadine
  • 5 - 6 oz Ginger Ale
  • Ice
  • Marachino Cherries (optional garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Grab the ice and toss it into the highball glass. The glass should be filled up to the top.
  • Take the jigger and measure out 1 oz of grenadine. Toss the grenadine directly into the bottom of the glass.
    pro tip: if you don't have a jigger, you can add 2 tbs of grenadine instead.
  • Take the jigger and measure out 5 - 6 oz of ginger ale. Toss the ginger ale directly into the glass.
    Pro tip: if you don't have a jigger, you can simply pour the ginger ale straight into the glass and skip any measuring. Or, if you do want to measure, you can add ¾ cups instead of using ounces.
  • Toss a maraschino cherry on top if you want to add the garnish.
  • If you like you drink stirred, you can use a bar spoon. Stick it into the glass and give it a few good stirs.

Notes

If you don't have a jigger to measure with ounces, you can use the following:
2 Tbs of grenadine
¾ cup of Ginger Ale
