Sugar Cookie Syrup

Sugar cookie simple syrup is sweet and easy to make. It is a perfect sweetener for winter and Christmas time, add it into drinks or onto baked goods.

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Measuring Cup
  • Measuring Spoon
  • Mason Jar or Pyrex

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • .5 teaspoon Butter Extract
  • .25 teaspoon Almond Extract

Instructions
 

  • Measure out 1 teaspoon Vanilla, ½ teaspoon Butter extract and ¼ teaspoon Almond extract. Add them all to the pot.
  • Measure 1 cup of water and toss it into the pot.
  • Measure 1 cup of sugar and toss it into the pot.
  • Put your pot on medium heat and simmer for around 10 minutes.
  • Stir the mixture regularly while heating.
  • Remove from the heat and pour into a jar or pyrex.
  • Place syrup into the refrigerator to thicken up and chill out.

Notes

Tips
  • Only allow the mixture to simmer; do not boil it.
  • Stir regularly while heating to ensure even heating and no scalding.
Storage
  • Keep it in an airtight container in the fridge for 2 - 4 weeks.
  • If needed to store longer than 4 weeks, freeze it in an ice cube tray.
