Mixing Tips & Variations
  • Adjust the strength. We really like a 2:1 soda to vodka ratio. It's enough to get a bit of alcohol, but not overwhelming. However, you can adjust the ratio to suit your flavor preferences. Adding more vodka for more bite or more soda to tame out the alcohol even more.
  • Add a garnish. There is not a "standard" garnish for this one, but if you want to add a little pizazz to your drink, you can add an orange twist, wedge or wheel.
  • Stirred, not shaken. Most of the time, drinks are shaken to mix them. But with the large amount of soda in this one, it's better to stir it so that the soda doesn't get too fizzy.
  • Best enjoyed immediately. Since this is a soda based cocktail, it's best to make it and serve it right away so that it doesn't go flat.
  • Use flavored vodka.  Try out citron, whipped cream or vanilla vodka to change up the flavors.
