What is a mini beer shot?
A mini beer shot tastes almost like a vanilla ice cream with a kick of cinnamon to it which warms as it goes down. They are essentially a shot that looks exactly like a miniature beer but contains no beer.
Mini beer shots are super easy to make. They are essentially a layered shot made with two simple ingredients: heavy cream and licor 43.
These shots are perfect for parties and celebrations and are sure to be the talk of your gathering. Imagine having these at your next super bowl party or even a bachelor party or St Patrick’s Day party.
What is Licor 43?
Licor 43 is a Spanish liqueur. Possibly not surprisingly it is made with 43 ingredients. This liqueur is a golden color similar to the color of beer.
It has a strong vanilla taste. There are also notes of cinnamon and citrus (namely orange). It is a sweet tasting liqueur and is very smooth and warm going down.
How to make this drink:
This two ingredient layered shot is super easy to make. You just have to hold your hand steady while you layer your ingredients.
- 1.5oz Licor 43
- .5 oz Heavy Cream
Grab your bar spoon, jigger shot glass, Licor 43 and heavy cream to get started.
Take your jigger and n the Licor 43 and measure one and a half ounces. Go ahead and pour your licor 43 into your shot glass.
Next, take your jigger and measure half an ounce of heavy cream.
Take your bar spoon and place it upside down in your shot glass so that it is sitting just above the line of the Licor 43.
Slowly pour your half ounce of heavy cream over the back of your bar spoon. It should sit just on top of the Licor 43.
Your shot is ready to enjoy!

- Start by measuring 1.5 oz of Licor 43 with your jigger. Dump that in the bottom of your shot glass.
- Next, measure .5 of of heavy cream with your jigger.
- Use your bar spoon and place it upside down in your shot glass. Slowly pour your heavy cream over the back of your spoon into your shot glass. It should layer just on top of the Licor 43.
- Kick it back and take your shot.
