Irish Trash Can: a blue green mix

What is an Irish Trash Can?

The Irish Trash is a cocktail that is green on top with a little blue on the bottom. It is a smoother, sweeter version of the Bullfrog Drink. It has strong tones of the botanical flavor from the gin gin as well as a citrus flavor from triple sec, red bull and blue curacao. It also has a sweet, smooth after taste of peach.

This cocktail is fun to make for parties as it changes colors when you make it. It starts off Blue from the Blue Curacao and then turns green when you finish it by pouring Red Bull in the top.

The Irish trash can is a strong cocktail, having three different liquors and several liqueurs included in it as well as red bull. It’s sweet and fruity flavors as well as bright colors make it perfect for parties and celebrations.

As mentioned above, the Irish trash can is similar to the bullfrog drink. It is also very similar to the adios motherfucker drink otherwise known as a blue motherfucker. The main difference is that this cocktail contains peach schnapps.

How to make this drink:

Although this cocktail contains many ingredients it is not that difficult to make. Even though it has a cool color change you can whip it up in just a few minutes.

Equipment:

• jigger
• highball glass
• bar spoon
• Hawthorne strainer
• cocktail shaker

Ingredients:

• 1 oz Vodka
• 1 oz Gin
• 1 oz Rum
• 1 oz Triple Sec
• 1 oz Blue Curacao
• 1 oz Peach Schnapps
• 4 oz Red Bull
• Ice

Instructions:

Step one

Begin by gathering your cocktail shaker, strainer, jigger, bar spoon, pint or Collins glass as well as all of the ingredients.

Step two

Go ahead and fill your glass to the top with ice.

Step three

Use your jigger to measure 1 oz of rum and pour that into your glass.

Step four

Use your jigger to measure 1 oz of Gin and pour that in your glass with your ice and rum.

Step Five

Use your jigger to measure 1 oz of vodka and pour that in your glass with your gin, rum and ice.

Step Six

Again use your jigger. This time, use it to measure 1 oz of triple sec and dump that in your glasses well.

Step Seven

Again measure with your jigger 1 oz, this time of peach schnapps. Pour your peach schnapps into your glass.

Step Eight

Finally, use your jigger to measure 1 oz of Blue Curacao and add that into your glass as well.

Step Nine

Go ahead and take your glass and dump its contents into your cocktail shaker and then back into your glass. Do this carefully so you don’t spill anything. The purpose is to mix the ingredients together. Your drink at this point should be bright blue.

Step Ten

Now, take you’re a can of red bull. And slowly pour it into the top of your glass. You don’t have to do this super slow, but you also want to make sure you don’t just dump it in. As the Red Bull gets added you will see a color change from Blue to green.

To top this drink off take your can of Red Bull and set it in the top of the glass.
