What is a Purple Motherfucker Shot?

The purple motherfucker shot taste almost exactly like a cherry icee. It does have a slightly bitter alcohol Spike as an aftertaste.

This inappropriately named shot may surprise you with its sweet and delicious flavor (similar to this adios motherfucker drink). It is also super easy to make. These things combined make it the perfect party addition.

The sweet flavor and deep purple color fit well for beach or other summer party occasions. But depending on your audience, you may want to leave out the name of the shot 😉

For other easy and colorful shots, you may try: the grape ape shot, the red headed slut shot or the panty dropper shot.

    Equipment

    • jigger
    • cocktail shaker
    • glass rimmer
    • Hawthorne strainer
    • Shot glasses

    Ingredients

    • ½ oz blue curacao
    • ½ oz Southern Comfort
    • ½ oz Amaretto
    • ¾ oz Cranberry Juice
    • Ice

    How to make this drink

This shot is so easy to make, simply throw everything together and give it a shake. There’s no extra garnishes or layering. And the ingredients are pretty standard affair.

    Step one

As you get started to make this drink you want to make sure you gather your jigger and cocktail shaking as well as your cranberry juice, blue coast, Southern comfort, and amaretto.

    Step two

Before you start pulling your ingredients make sure that your cocktail shaker is filled to the top with ice.

Pouring blue curacao into a jigger.

    Step three

Use your jigger to measure half an ounce of Blue Curacao and pour it into your cocktail shaker with the ice.

Pouring cranberry juice from a jigger into a shaker.

    Step four

Again use your jigger to pour ¾ ounce of cranberry juice into your cocktail shaker with the ice in the blue curacao.

Pouring southern comfort into a jigger.

    Step Five

Measure another half an ounce this time of Southern comfort with your jigger and add that to your cocktail shaker.

Pouring amaretto from a jigger into a shaker.

    Step Six

Finally using your jigger once more, measure half an ounce of amaretto and pour that into your cocktail shaker.

    Putting lid on a shaker.

    Step Seven

Go ahead and put the top on your Shaker and shake vigorously until the outside of the Shaker is cold to the touch. This usually takes about 15 to 20 seconds.

Remove the top of your Shaker and place the Hawthorne strainer on top.

    Step Eight

Next pour the liquid from the Shaker into your shot glass and enjoy!
