What is a Royal Fuck Shot?

A royal fuck shot is a combination of crown Royal, peach schnapps and cranberry juice. The resulting cocktail is a dark reddish color and has a tart peach flavor.

This cocktail obviously gets its name from the crown Royal Canadian whiskey used to make it. There is a very similar shot called the Royal flush that is the same ingredients with one added ingredient, Chambord.

Crown Royal is a Canadian made whiskey. It is made of fermented corn rye in barley which are then distilled. Crown Royal has a very smooth, sweet and slightly caramel flavor.

Peach schnapps is, of course, a type of schnapps. Schnapps is a clear neutral tasting base spirit. Peach schnapps has a sweet very, very strong peach flavor added in.

The cranberry juice in this drink lends to its reddish color. It also lends a very tart flavor. It’s best to use 100% cranberry juice and not a cocktail.

If you’re looking for a few different ways to change this drink up, try one of these out:

• Add a pucker. Some recipes for the shot include apple pucker. This provides a slightly sweet but very sour flavor.
• Add additional juice. A few recipes for the shot include pineapple juice which adds a tart tangy and tropical flavor.
• Use a flavored crown Royal. Crown Royal comes in a few different flavors, apple crown Royal would be well suited to substitute in for this drink.

How to make this drink:

With three super simple ingredients, you should be able to shake this one up in 3 minutes or less. All you need to do is combine your ingredients and get them shaken.

Equipment:

• Shot glasses
• jigger
• cocktail shaker
• Hawthorne strainer
• bar spoon

Ingredients:

• 1 oz Crown Royal
• 1 oz Cranberry Juice
• 1 oz Peach Schnapps
• Ice

Instructions:

Step one

Start out by making sure you everything necessary to make this shot including shot glass, jigger, cocktail shaker, Hawthorne strainer, ice, crown Royal, peach schnapps and cranberry juice.

Step two

Grab your ice and chuck it into your cocktail shaker. The shaker should be full almost to the top.

Step three

Grab your jigger and your crown Royal. Measure up 1 oz of crown Royal. Chuck that into your shaker with the ice.

Step four

Grab your jigger and peach schnapps. Measure up 1 oz of peach schnapps. Chuck that into your shaker with the crown Royal and ice.

Step Five

Grab your cranberry juice and jigger. Measure up 1 oz of cranberry juice. Chuck that into shaker with the peach schnapps, crown Royal and ice.

Step six

Grab the lid and place it on top of your shaker. Shake it up for around 15 or 20 seconds. The outside of the shaker should get cold as you finish.

Step seven

Remove the lid from the shaker. Add the Hawthorne strainer over top of your shaker. Then, pour your drink from the shaker into your shot glass.
