Does cranberry juice go with the bacardi? The answer is a definite yes! Rum and cranberry cocktail is a refreshing, delicious drink that’s easy to make.
What is a rum and cranberry cocktail?
A rum and cranberry cocktail is a refreshing sipper that is made of two simple ingredients. All you need is cranberry juice and rum.
This cocktail and it’s bright red color is perfect for any fun festivities. The cranberry flavor makes it great for fall or winter holidays. But the bright color and refreshing taste also makes it great for sipping in the summer.
There are, in fact, many types of rum. There is dark rum, spiced rum, coconut rum and white rum. In general, rums have a tropical and fruity flavor. But the exact flavor of the rum will depend on what type you are using.
For this cocktail, we recommend using something like Bacardi which is a white rum. However, you might also try a spiced rum and make a Captain and Cranberry.
As you may know, cranberry juice also comes in a couple different varieties. Pure cranberry juice tends to be very tart, sour and bitter. If that is too much for you, you can use a cranberry juice cocktail or a cranberry juice with added sugar.

Then, you will select one wedge and make a small cut between the lime pulp and the lime peel. This cut will help to anchor your wedge to the rim of your glass.
Now, you can place your lime wedge on your glass.
There are two ways to mix this drink. You can either do it in your cocktail shaker or straight in your highball glass.
To mix with a cocktail shaker:

Then, measure 4 oz of cranberry juice with your jigger. And pour the cranberry juice into your cocktail shaker with your ice and rum.
Put the top on your cocktail shaker. Shake the shaker well until the outside turns cold to the touch. Then, remove the top and replace it with your Hawthorne strainer.
Finally, pour your liquid from your cocktail shaker into your highball glass.
To mix straight in your glass:
Measure 2 oz of rum with your jigger. And dump it into your highball glass over the ice.
