What is a Tequila and Soda?

Tequila itself comes in a few variations including gold tequila and silver tequila. While both tend to mix in well in drinks without adding a ton of their own flavor, they do have a bit of a sweet bite to them. The difference between gold and silver tequila (besides the color) is that gold tequila is a little smoother. It is usually aged a little which contributes to a slightly smoother taste.
The tequila and soda is perfect for hot days due to it’s refreshing taste. You can whip this one up for summer parties, pool or beach time or even BBQs.
Of course, there are many other tequila and soda combinations like ginger ale, squirt and root beer.

pro-tip: to get the wedge to easily stain your glass, take your knife and cut a small notch between the pulp and the peel and use that to secure it to the rim of your glass.
Step four
Grab your tequila and use your jigger to measure 2 oz of it. Then pour that 2 oz into your highball glass over your ice.
Step Five
Grab your club soda and use your jigger to measure 4 oz of it. Then pour that 4 oz into your highball glass with your tequila and ice.
Feel free to add a little additional club soda if you want to top the glass off. The more club soda you add the lighter the tequila flavor will be.
