What is a Whiskey and Apple Juice?
A whiskey and apple juice sometimes called an Apple Jack when using Jack Daniels is a simple mixture of two ingredients. All you need, of course, is apple juice and whiskey. When mixing whiskey with apple juice the resulting taste is a very sweet and slightly fruity flavored drink.
Whiskey comes in several different versions. You’ve got rye whiskeys and bourbon whiskeys just to name a few. Whiskey tends to have a bit of a caramel and sweet flavor. However dependent on where the grains come from and how long it’s been aged will change the taste of your whiskey.
Any whiskey version is fine to mix with your Apple juice. We used wild turkey which is a bourbon and a favorite in our household. Another common whiskey to use is Tennessee with and makes an apple jack.
Other spicy flavor profile apple juice cocktails include: Rum and apple juice or gin and apple juice

Instructions
Whipping this cocktail up is super easy to do. Toss your ingredients together and you’re ready to go.
Step one
Grab all of your ingredients and your supplies so that you have everything in one place as you get started.
Step two
Fill your rocks glass with ice. You want to make sure the ice comes almost all the way to the top.
Step three
Next, you want to measure your liquids. Take your jigger and measure 2 oz of whiskey and then pour it into your glass over the ice.
Step Four
Next, measure 4 oz of apple juice and pour that into your highball glass as well.
If you would like to have a stronger Apple flavor then whiskey flavor you can add a little additional apple juice if you desire.
Step Five
Using your bar spoon, mix your liquids together well. If adding a cinnamon stick garnish, you can use that to stir instead.
And with that, your drink is ready to enjoy!
Mixing Tips
- Use a shaker instead. This is a really simple drink, so stirring it straight in the glass works well. But, if you want it pre-chilled you can pour everything in a shaker with ice and shake it up instead.
- 2:1 ratio. Having a 2:1 apple juice to whiskey ratio really makes the flavors well balanced. But, you can adjust if you prefer less whiskey flavor or more whiskey flavor.
