What is a Liquid Marijuana Shot?

A liquid marijuana shot is a bright green shot that has a strong pineapple flavor with notes of sweet citrus and melon. It also has a kick of orange and coconut. The bold flavor tends to take over your mouth with a huge burst.

This shots name comes from it’s bright green color and only contains alcoholic ingredients (it is not an edible). It’s a fun drink for relaxed get togethers, beach parties or even St. Patricks day (with it’s green color). The mini beer shot is a non-green drink for St. Patricks Day.

This shot is so easy to make and doesn’t take any super fancy equipment or ingredients so it’s easy to toss together. It’s sweet and fruity flavor is the perfect fit for spring and summer days.

How to make this drink:

This is a super easy shot to mix up – no garnish, glass rimming or layering needed. Just toss your ingredients together and mix them up.

Note: these make 2 shots worth. You can make 2 shots, put it all in a rocks glass and sip. Or, you can cut the amounts in half for just one shot.

½ oz. midori
½ oz. coconut rum
½ oz. blue curacao
½ oz. spiced rum
½ oz sweet and sour
½ oz pineapple juice
ice

Instructions:

Step one

Grab you shot glass, shaker, strainer, jigger and ingredients so they’re all in one spot and ready to use.

Step two

Fill your cocktail shaker full of ice.

Step three

Use your jigger to measure ½ oz of Midori and add that over the ice in your cocktail shaker.

Step four

Use your jigger to measure ½ oz of Coconut Rum and add that over the ice in your cocktail shaker.

Step Five

Use your jigger to measure ½ oz of Blue Curacao and add that over the ice in your cocktail shaker.

Step Six

Use your jigger to measure ½ oz of Spiced Rum and add that over the ice in your cocktail shaker.

Step Seven

Use your jigger to measure ½ oz of Sweet and sour mix and add that over the ice in your cocktail shaker.

Step Eight

Use your jigger to measure ½ oz of Pineapple Juice and add that over the ice in your cocktail shaker.

Step Nine

Cover the cocktail shaker with the lid and shake well for 15 – 20 seconds. Remove the cocktail shaker top. Put the Hawthorne Strainer over top of the cocktail shaker. Pour the liquid from the shaker into two shot glasses.

(Optional) If you prefer to use this as a sipping drink, you can pour the entirety of the shaker into a rocks glass over ice and sip on this drink.
