What Makes a Green Cocktail?
Green cocktails come in all shades of green from bright to light. There are a variety of different ways that the green color is made:
- Midori – this bright green liqueur is a melon flavor.
- Creme de Menthe – this is also a bright green liqueur that. It is a mint flavor.
- Hypnotiq – which is a blue color, but when mixed with other ingredients, often times turns into a green colored drink. It is a liqueur that has tropical fruit flavors.
- Sour apple pucker – this is just what it sounds like, a sour apple flavored liqueur. It is a lighter shade of green.
- Blue curacao + orange or yellow mixers – blue curacao is a bright blue liqueur that is orange flavored. When you mix that bright blue color with orange or yellow liquids like orange juice (for example) you get drinks with different shades of green.
