What is a Peanut Butter and Jelly Martini?

A peanut butter and jelly martini is a combination of Chambord, frangelico and peanut butter whiskey. It tastes just like a sweet peanut butter and jelly sandwich in liquid form.

The jelly flavor and light pinkish color of this drink comes from the chambord. Chambord cocktails are very popular due to their black raspberry flavor. If you don’t want a jelly flavor, leave the Chambord out and make a peanut butter martini.

Peanut butter whiskey is actually a liqueur and not a liquor. This is due to the fact that the alcohol content is decreased with the sugar and other additives. We like to use skatterbrain or skrewball, but there are lots of other brands.

Frangelico originated in Italy. It is a sweet hazelnut flavored liqueur which helps to add the nutty flavor to this drink.

    When to Make This Drink:

Serve this drink up during occasions including:

    Variations:

If you’re looking for a few ingredient substitutions or ways to vary up this martini, check these ideas out:

    • Use Irish cream. Substitute the frangelico for Irish cream if you want a slightly creamier martini.
    • Use raspberry liqueur. Instead of the black raspberry Chambord, use a plain raspberry liqueur for a brighter color and stronger raspberry flavor.
    • Make it a different flavor jelly. Substitute the Chambord for grape schnapps to make grape jelly flavor or cherry schnapps to make cherry flavored jelly.
    • Rim the glass. Spread a little peanut butter on the rim of the glass for a tasty garnish.

Some other peanut butter flavored drinks include: the PB&J shot and the PB&J Old Fashioned.
