Have you ever had a Cuba Libre before? Not sure what that is? It’s just a fancy name for the rum and Coke, a simple and delicious cocktail. Make one this weekend!

How Do You Make A Rum and Coke?
Perhaps our favorite quick cocktail, this one is simple perfection. You only need two, maybe three ingredients if you count the lime wedge, to make a super tasty treat.
Aside from it’s simplicity, the pairing of white rum with Coca-Cola, is a match made in heaven. Nothing is better than when the sweet carbonated bite of Coke blends seamlessly with the smooth flavor of rum.
What’s even better is how versatile this drink can be. You can mix Coke with your favorite kind of rum and the drink will be even more spectacular. A few options are:
- Captain and Coke (Spiced Rum)
- Cubata with Dark Rum (not to be confused for the Cubata with Gin)
- Malibu and Coke (coconut rum)
- Appleton and Coke (Jamaican rum)
Other Soft Drink Mixers
In addition to the many great drinks with Coke, you can also mix other sodas with liquor. For example, some of our favorites are rum and Sprite, Whiskey and Root Beer, Tequila and Sprite, and Vodka Ginger Ale.
