What is a rum and orange soda?
Rum is a liquor that is typically made from sugarcane. This results in a very sweet flavored drink. There are several different types of rum including coconut rum, dark rum, white rum and spiced rum.
While you could technically use any of these rums to make this cocktail, the two most common and best ones to use are white rum or spiced rum.
Orange soda is precisely what it sounds like. It is carbonated soda water flavored with sweetened orange flavors. There are several different brands you can choose from a few of which are Sunkist or Fanta.
If you’re looking to cut out a little bit of the sugar and have a slightly lighter flavored cocktail, you can make your own orange soda by mixing soda water and orange juice.
