What is a Tequila and Orange Soda?

Tequila and orange soda is a simple cocktail that tastes pretty much just like orange soda but with a slightly sweet bite added in from the tequila. It is very easy to make and has a fizzy and fruity taste making it perfect for summer and springtime occasions.

Tequila is a liquor that is typically made from a blue agave plant. It typically is a sweet liquor that has undertones of citrus and a little spicy pepper.

There are several types of tequila such as gold, silver and respado. The main difference in each type of tequila is the way and amount of time it has been aged. While you can use any type of tequila in the strength, silver is the most common.

Orange soda is exactly what it sounds like. It is a carbonated soda water that is sweetened and flavored like oranges. There are many different brands of orange soda you can purchase such as Fanta or Sunkist to name a few. It is one of the best sodas to mix with tequila due to it’s sweet citrus flavor.

If you don’t have any orange soda on hand, you can even make your own by mixing soda water and orange juice. This will result in a slightly less sweet lighter tasting cocktail.
