What is a whiskey and orange soda?

A whiskey and orange soda is a simple two ingredient highball that has a strong fizzy orange flavor combined with a caramel vanilla from the whiskey. This drink is perfect for spring and summertime drinking.

Whiskey is typically dark liquor which is made by distilling various different grains. Some commonly used grains are wheat, corn, rye and barley.

There are many different types of whiskeys that are based on the type of gray used, the way and how long they are aged. Overall, whiskey tends to have a smooth flavor with hints of vanilla and caramel. You can use any type of whiskey in this drink, some of the best choices include bourbon or Irish whiskey.

Orange soda is pretty much exactly what you are probably expecting. It is a carbonated soda water that is heavily sweetened and has an added orange flavor. There are several different brands you can buy at the store including Fanta and Crush.

If you want a slightly less sweet flavored cocktail you can try your hand at making your own orange soda. To do this, you simply combine orange juice and soda water.
