Whiskey and mountain dew is the perfect cocktail. Almost literally, as mountain dew was made as a mixer for whiskey.
What is a whiskey and mountain dew?
Whiskey mountain dew is very simply those two ingredients combined together into a cocktail. If you choose to use Jack Daniels whiskey this cocktail is sometimes called a mountain jack.
Mountain dew is a citrusy very sugary and caffeine-fueled soda. It mixes almost seamlessly with whiskey. Making the perfect cocktail for any occasion.
In fact, a whiskey is not the only liquor that mountain dew mix as well with. You can also make cocktails such as amaretto and mountain dew, Brandy and mountain dew or gin and mountain dew.
And, if you’re looking for additional flavors, mountain dew comes in lots of variations such as code red or Baja blast. If you want a new flavored whiskey and mountain dew simply use one of these variations to mix your cocktail up.
How to make this drink:
Pretty much all you got to do to get this cocktail going is dump your liquor and soda and a glass and give it a stir.

Ingredients:
- 2 oz whiskey
- 4 oz mountain dew
- Wedge of lemon or lime
Instructions:
Step one
Grab your ingredients and your equipment and get ready to get started.
Take your highball glass and fill it full of ice.
Step two
Get your garnish ready by cutting a wedge of either lemon or lime whichever you prefer. And then place that wedge on the roof of your glass.
Step three
Grab your jigger and measure 2 oz of whiskey. Go ahead and dump that whiskey into your highball glass over the ice.
Step four
Measure out 4 oz of mountain dew and also pour that into your highball glass with the whiskey.
If you don’t want to be precise it doesn’t have to be exactly 4 oz. The more mountain dew you use the less that you’ll taste the whiskey. And vice versa.
Step Five
Finally, gently use your bar spoon to stir your cocktail so that you’re whiskey and mountain dew are mixed well.
Sit back, take a sip and enjoy!

Equipment
- jigger
- highball glass
- bar spoon
Ingredients
- 2 oz Whiskey
- 4 oz Mountain Dew
- Lemon or lime garnish
- ice
Instructions
- Start by filling glass full of ice
- Slice either a lemon or lime into wedges and add one wedge to the glass rim
- With jigger, measure 2 oz of whiskey and add to glass.
- With jigger, measure 4 oz of Mountain Dew and add to glass
- Stir drink with bar spoon to combine ingredients.
