    🍹 What is a Fuzzy Leprechaun Drink?

    A fuzzy leprechaun drink is a bright green cocktail that is a combination of peach schnapps, blue curaçao and orange juice. It has a sweet peach flavor on the front end which smooths into a citrus twist as it goes down.

    One of the fun things about using blue curacao and cocktails is that it can give your drinks a bright and beautiful color. This is one example where it blends with the orange color of orange juice to result in a shockingly green cocktail.

    Obviously, the green color is where The leprechaun in the name of the drink comes from. The fuzzy part of the name comes from the peach schnapps. Another fuzzy themed drink is this fuzzy navel cocktail.

    • Bright green color. This is perfect for serving at St Patrick’s Day festivities with its bright green color. Or, any seemed event that has green as the essential color theme.
    • Easy and quick. You only need a couple minutes to store this one together. The three ingredients are super simple and easy and and all you have to do is dump them in your shaker and give it a shake.
    • Sweet and fruity. This cocktail has a lightly sweet and beautifully fruity flavor. It’s full of peach and citrus undertones. Feel like you’re pranking me but it’s kind of like a pretty whiskey probably not a sipper for me but not bad look at

    This green colored, fruity and sweet drink is perfectly paired for serving at times like:

    • St Patrick’s Day
    • Barbecues
    • Springtime celebrations
    • Birthday parties

    📖 Variations

    Get a little creative by incorporating some of these ingredient alternatives and unique flavor variations into this drink:

    • Add green food coloring. It’s a really emphasize the green color of the strength, you can add a few drops of green food coloring before you shake it together.
    • Ramp up the alcohol. This is currently a low alcohol drink with only peach schnapps having alcohol content. If you want more alcohol in the drink, you can add any clear liquor such as vodka. Add one or two ounces.
    • Make a drunk leprechaun. Leave the peach schnapps out, which is the fuzzy part of this drink, and add in any type of liquor you prefer whiskey is a favorite.

    • jigger
    • cocktail shaker
    • Hawthorne strainer
    • bar spoon

    📋 Ingredients

    • 4 oz Orange Juice
    • 2 oz Peach schnapps
    • 2 oz Blue curacao
    • (optional) a few drops of green food coloring
    • Ice

    👩🏻‍🍳 Instructions

    Step one

    Get started by gathering together Blue carousel, orange juice, peach schnapps, ice, highball glass, jigger, cocktail shaker and Hawthorne strainer.

    Step two

    Grab up some ice and fill both the glass and shaker to the top with it.

    Step three

    Grab up the jigger and orange juice. Use a jigger to measure 4 oz of orange juice and toss it into the cocktail shaker.

    Step four

    Grab up the jigger and peach schnapps. Use the jigger to measure 2 oz of peach schnapps and toss it into the cocktail shaker.

    Step Five

    Grab out the jigger and blue curaçao. Use the jigger to measure 2 oz of blue curacao and toss it into the cocktail shaker.

    Step Six

    Cover up the shaker with a lid and shake well. Spend about 15 to 20 seconds shaking it and the shaker should get cold on the outside.

    Pop off that shaker lid and pour your drink from the shaker into your glass.

    Equipment

    • jigger
    • bar spoon
    • cocktail shaker
    • highball glass

    Ingredients
      

    • 4 oz Orange Juice
    • 2 oz Peach Schnapps
    • 2 oz Blue Curacao
    • Ice
    • green food coloring (optional)

    Instructions
     

    • Add ice to both the highball glass as well as the cocktail shaker.
    • Measure out 4 oz of Orange Juice with the jigger. Pour that into the shaker. 2 peach schnapps and blue curacao or use green food coloring
    • Measure out 2 oz of peach schnapps with the jigger. Pour that into the shaker.
    • Measure out 2 oz of blue curacao with the jigger. Pour that into the shaker.
    • if desired, add a few drops of green food coloring to amp up the green color.
    • Pop the top onto the shaker and shake it up for about 15 seconds. The shaker will get cold.
    • Pop the top off the shaker and pop the hawthorne strainer over the shaker.
    • Pour the drink into the highball glass.
