What is a Holy Water Cocktail?
A holy water cocktail tastes like strawberry lemonade with a hint of citrus and Peach on the back end. It’s a beautiful blue color with the bright red strawberries and bright yellow lemons floating in it, it is a super colorful cocktail.
This cocktail is super easy to make by the glass or in bulk by the pitcher or bowl if you are having a larger get together or party. It only takes 5 ingredients plus some strawberries and lemons sliced up. To make this one you use vodka, blue curacao, peach schnapps, lemonade and rum.
The blue curacao contributes the bright blue color of the drink as well as some of the citrus notes of flavor. The rum and vodka don’t impart a super strong flavor, other than a bit of an alcohol bite. However, even that bite is pretty smooth for this cocktail. The peach schnapps lends the sweet peach flavor on the backend of the drink. And the lemonade really is the strongest flavor in this one with its sweet, tangy flavor.
The bright colors and refreshing taste of the holy water cocktail makes it perfect for summertime. This drink works well for backyard BBQs, poolside gatherings, days at the beach or a midday sipper on your porch.
A few similar drinks are the blue long island, hunch punch and the tree smacker drink.
