What is a tequila and mountain dew?

Like other mountain dew cocktails there are many fun names for tequila and mountain dew such as the Mexican dew. But, at the end of the day it’s really just tequila and mountain dew and a glass.

You may think that tequila and mountain dew taste a little bit like a Margarita due to the tequila flavor mixed with the sweet citrusy flavor of the mountain dew.

This bright neon colored drink is a fun sipper for any occasion.

If for some reason you’re not a big fan of tequila, but still want a mountain dew drink, you can try whiskey mountain dew, Brandy and mountain dew or gin and mountain dew.

Additionally, you can make alternative versions of this using the different variations of mountain dew such as Baja blast or code red.

How to make this drink:

All you need to do to make this drink is tossed to ingredients in a glass and give it a stir.

Equipment:

• highball glass
• jigger
• bar spoon

Ingredients:

• 2 oz tequila
• 4 oz mountain dew
• One lemon or lime wedge

Instructions:

Step one

grab your equipment and ingredients.

fill your highball glass full of ice.

Step two

grab your tequila and measure 2 oz with your jigger. Pour your tequila into your highball glass over the ice.

Step three

measure 4 oz of mountain dew and pour it into your highball glass over the ice.

you can use more or less mountain dew depending on how much you want to taste the tequila.

Step four

slice your lemon or lime into wedges. And place one wedge on the rim of your glass.

Step Five

use your bar spoon and gently stir your drink so that the tequila and mountain dew mix thoroughly.
