🍹 What is a Virgin Strawberry Daquiri?

A virgin strawberry daiquiri is a super easy to make blended combination of strawberries, Sprite, ice, simple syrup and lime juice. The resulting drink is fruity and frozen. It’s a bright red color and bursting with strawberry flavor it also has some citrus flavors mingled in.

This mocktail is a fun twist on the classic daiquiri cocktail. Daiquiris typically were shaken and were combination of lime juice, simple syrup and rum. Although, over time frozen daiquiris have become quite popular with lots of different flavors added in such as a passion fruit daiquiri and banana frozen daiquiri.

It’s usually quite easy to turn classic cocktails into a mocktail version simply by leaving the liquor out and substituting with extra juices, sodas or water. And, that’s exactly what we do in this recipe.

If you’re not quite sure if you want to make this yet, here or a few reasons you’re sure to love it:

  • Bursting with berries. This is a super fruity, sweet strawberry flavor filled drink. The sweet berry flavor is a must try.
  • So easy. With only five simple ingredients you can make this one relatively quickly. It does take a few minutes since you have to use a blender, but you should still be able to get it ready in about 8 minutes.
  • Easy to customize. There are several different tips and tricks you can use to customize the taste, sweetness and flavor to be just what you desire.

⭐ When to Make This Drink

Blend this mocktail up for a wide variety of different events such as:

  • Barbecues
  • Beach days
  • 4th of July
  • Valentine’s Day

📖 Variations

One of the great things about this mocktail is that you can very easily customize the ingredients and flavors to suit your needs. Try a few of these ideas out:

  • Use frozen strawberries. If you use frozen strawberries then you can omit or decrease the ice. This will help to prevent any watering down and will make a creamier drink.
  • Decrease the sweetness. Take a little of the sugar out by replacing Sprite with club soda or seltzer water. This way you can still get the liquid you’ll need to blend everything together, but without the added sugar.
  • Use a flavored soda water. If you’d like to still have a flavored soda water but without the extra sugar and Sprite, you can use a strawberry, lemon or lime flavored s seltzer water.
  • Leave out the simple syrup. Especially if you’re already using soda in this mocktail, the strawberries are sweet enough that you don’t absolutely need to add simple syrup if you want to make this a little healthier.
  • Use a flavored simple syrup. Double down on the lime or strawberry flavors by using a corresponding flavored simple syrup instead of using plain simple syrup.
  • Use a different sweetener. Make this a little healthier by using a different sweetener such as honey or your sweetener of choice.

Blending a virgin strawberry daquiri.

Step Seven

Finally, you’ll need to blend everything together. Your individual blender settings and times may vary.

For our blender we use a smoothie setting for a few minutes. As it blends you may need to add a little more Sprite to ensure that it blends well and is not too thick.

The key is to ensure that everything is well chopped and combined without turning it into a liquid.

When finished, turn the blender off and pour your drink into the glass.
