If you’re looking for a daredevil cocktail, the flaming Lamborghini drink may be for you. This drink is certainly a centerpiece or talking point at your next party or get together. It will literally light things on fire!

What is a Flaming Lamborghini Drink?

A flaming Lamborghini drink is a combination of Kahlua and sambuca with shots of Irish cream and blue curaçao. Then, the whole drink is lit on fire!

This drink is called a flaming Lamborghini because, well, it’s literally flaming with fire. Some other fire drinks are: the flaming sambuca and the flaming dr. pepper.

This drink tastes sort of like caramelized coffee with a hint of licorice on the back end. It is an elaborate drink, but the taste and spectacle are worth it.

The coffee flavor from this drink comes from Kahlua which is a coffee flavored liqueur. It originated in Mexico and is made of arabica coffee, sugar and rum.

Irish cream is made from cream, cocoa and Irish whiskey. It has a very sweet creamy flavor with hints of chocolate and vanilla.

Blue Curacao is a bright blue liqueur. It has an orange or citrus flavor to it.

Sambuca is a clear liqueur. It originated in Italy and has a very intensely strong licorice flavor. If you like Sambuca, it also comes in a black color that is used in this flat tire shot.

How to drink a flaming Lamborghini drink

part of the nuance of this drink is the way that you drink it. You start out by literally lighting it on fire. Then, you use a metal straw placed at the bottom of the drink to drink the Kahlua out of the drink.

As the Kahlua gets finished, you add your shots of Irish cream and blue curaçao which should extinguish the fire. Continue drinking through your straw until all the liquid is gone.

Of course if you’re not a cocktail drinking Daredevil, you can light the drink on fire then dump both your shots in so that the fire is extinguished before you start drinking with your straw.

A few similar drinks are: The irish breakfast shot, the minderaser shot and the slippery nipple shot

    How to make this drink:

This drink while it may only have four ingredients is a bit complex and elaborate to make. You should take your time making it particularly so you don’t like anything but the drink on fire. Please use caution as you get this drink ready.

    Equipment:

    • Martini glasses
    • Shot glass
    • jigger
    • bar spoon
    • Lighter
    • Metal Straw

    Ingredients:

    • 1 oz Baileys
    • 1 oz Kahlua
    • 1 oz Sambuca
    • 1 oz blue curacao
empty martini glass and shot glass with jigger, metal straw, lighter and bottles of baileys, kahlua, sambuca and blue curacao next to them

    Instructions:

    Step one

Start out by getting two shot glasses, Martini glass, lighter, metal straw, jigger, Irish cream, Kahlua, sambuca and blue curaçao.

    Step Five

take your jigger and your sambuca. Use your jigger to measure 1 oz of sambuca.

The sambuca gets layered on top of the Kahlua. To do this, take your bar spoon and place it upside down in the shot glass just above the Kahlua.

Then, gently and slowly pour the measured sambuca over the back of the bar spoon so that it lays on top of the Kahlua.

    Step six

next, it’s time to light your drink on fire. Please, be very cautious while you do this. Alcohol is obviously flammable and you don’t want to burn yourself or anyone else.

it’s best to use a long matchstick or a long lighter for the step. Go ahead and let your match or lighter and carefully place it right at the top of the sambuca until it lights on fire.

important note: The sambuca doesn’t typically burst into bright orange flames. It lights on fire but you cannot see it super well. So, be cautious and very aware while you’re doing this.

If you feel a little nervous about drinking it while it’s on fire. You can dump both the shots into the glass make sure the flame is extinguished and then drink it with your straw.
