This dessert martini is similar to others such as the banana cream martini, the birthday cake martini, or the strawberry shortcake martini.
The vanilla flavor in this cocktail obviously comes from the vanilla vodka. Vodka itself is typically pretty neutral flavored, however vanilla vodka has a strong sweet vanilla flavor.
The creaminess and some of these cinnamon flavor of this cocktail comes from the RumChata. RumChata is made from cream, cinnamon, sugar and rum. Like this martini, most rumchata cocktails are dessert flavored drinks due to it’s sweetness.
The amaretto is a slightly bitter yet nutty and cherry flavored liqueur. It adds a little sweetness and some complexity to the flavor.
The goldschlager is what really tops off the cinnamon flavor in this drink. It has a very sweet and overwhelmingly cinnamon spice.

- Substitute the RumChata. If you want to keep the creaminess, but knock the RumChata out you can add some heavy cream, dairy-free milk or regular milk.
- Substitute the goldschlager. Use a different type of cinnamon schnapps instead of goldschlager.
- Use Fireball. If you like whiskey liqueur, use Fireball instead of goldschlager.
- Rim the glass. Make a little cinnamon sugar mixture and rim the glass with it to capitalize on that cinnamon flavor.
- Leave out the amaretto. The amaretto helps to create a little bit of the cookie flavor. But it’s not totally necessary and you can leave it out if desired. If you do leave it out, you could add in a little drop of butter extract or almond extract.
