🥃 What is an Apple Pie Shot?

An apple pie shot is a delicious blend of apple cider, cake vodka and Fireball topped with a generous portion of whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon. This shot is a sweet flavor reminiscent of homemade apple pie. It has a sweet apple taste that quickly melts into a spicy cinnamon.

The fall season is typically filled with pumpkins and apples. So, this nice apple flavored shot fits in perfectly for any autumn event.

The apple cider provides the apple flavor for the drink while the cake vodka provides a little sweetness and vanilla flavor. The spicy cinnamon kick is contributed by the fireball whiskey.

If you leave the cake vodka and whipped cream out, you have a less sweet fireball and apple cider.

This recipe is perfect for serving up at your next event or celebration. Here are all the reasons why you love it:

    • Dessert in drink form. Apple pie is one of my favorite desserts. And, I’m sure it’s one of yours too. This shop provides the classic apple pie flavor without having to ever turn the oven on.
    • Fall festivities. Apples are one of the flavors of fall. Which makes this shot a great choice for all sorts of fall holiday gatherings and cozy nights by the fireplace.
    • It’s so easy. With only three ingredients you can easily shake this one up and under 5 minutes. And, the fancy whipped cream and cinnamon garnish makes it look like it’s more difficult than it is.

⭐ When to Make This Drink

That’s easy to make dessert drink is perfect to serve up anytime you need a little bit of sweet. Here are a few instances you might want to try it:

    • Thanksgiving
    • Dessert
    • Holiday celebrations
    • Halloween

    📖 Variations

Whether you’re looking for some ingredient substitutions or, possibly if you slight flavor variations here are some ideas for you to try:

    • Use a different vodka. Instead of cake vodka, you can use whipped cream vodka (as used in this banana split shot), vanilla vodka or even plain vodka. The cake vodka provides a little bit of sweetness and a touch of vanilla flavor. The vanilla and whipped cream flavored vodkas will do the same. Plain vodka will dial the sweetness of the drink down a smidge.
    • Use apple juice. If you want to have a slightly sweeter drink, or if you just can’t find any apple cider, You can use apple juice instead.
    • Add even more garnish. You can add a cinnamon stick or a cinnamon sugar rim if you want to add even more decadence and garnish to this drink.
    • Make it a cocktail. Multiply the ingredients below by two times and serve it in a rock’s glass over ice.

Try out some other pie flavored shots like: banana cream pie shot , key lime pie shot and pumpkin pie shot.
